Chris Korff
Owner and Trainer
Originally from Sheboygan Falls Wisconsin, Chris continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he played football and majored in education. Ultimately, Chris earned his masters degree in curriculum and instruction and taught high school and middle school students for 16 years. In 2020 Chris decided to leave education and focus more time on his passion, training dogs. Chris has a rich history of working with labrador retrievers. From a young age Chris has been around retrievers, working for a kennel in high school, watching and training their family dogs along side his Dad, and most recently a trainer for Wildrose.
Chris’ passions revolve around hunting, fishing, training dogs, and pretty much anything related to the outdoors.

Jacob Guell
Owner and Trainer
Jacob owns and operates Tails for Life, where he trains service dogs with his wife Amanda. Tails for Life's mission is to empower children with disabilities to increase their independence and enhance their quality of life. He has been training service dogs for over 14 years after becoming board certified in 2009. With his knowledge and understanding of dogs and specificially dog behaviors, Jacob began training his own gun dogs 7 years ago when he developed a deep passion for waterfowl hunting. Soon that passion lead to running hunt tests during the summer months and learning how to compete with the best labradors in the country. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with is wife and daughter, who enjoy hunting and competing in hunt tests. I guess you can say, it runs in the family!

Craig Korff
Trainer
Craig began training retrievers in 1974 and gained a great deal of knowledge from years of training with experienced amateur and some professionals who trained together at the local kennel club in WI. Out of this club came one of the best trainers in America, Jim VanEngen, who has a record of starting many FC’s and NFC’s that will never be broken and for over 40 years is still one of Craig’s closest friends and training confidants. In 2000, Craig decided to make a change in the type of Labrador and methodology he used in training. Craig started training with Wildrose in 2000, and in 2004 became the first Associate Trainer for the WR started dog program. Craig has trained numerous dogs from all over the country as well as the UK. To this day, many other trainers / clients consider Craig to be one of the most well respected gundog trainers in America.
